Our Story

Kellen Bakovich Photo grew from the idea
of merging my love for visual storytelling and the beauty of film photography.

Whether it’s a wedding, studio session, or a real
estate shoot, I aim to capture meaningful moments with intention and honesty.

I bring a unique vision for creative posing, intentional compositions, and making your story come to life.

ABOUT ME

Personal

I grew up in Loveland, Colorado. I moved to Fort Collins in 2016 to attend Colorado State University where I met my partner. We got married in 2022 and together we have two dogs.

In our free time we also foster dogs through a local rescue, Until They’re Home, which has been a very special way to serve pets and our community.

I love to read, golf, bike, hike, camp, and really anything else outdoors. I’m a die hard CSU Ram. We have season tickets for football and are frequenters at basketball and women’s soccer games.

I also love the Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, and most recently Denver Summit FC!

Film

In my free time, I shoot a lot of film photography for fun. A couple
years ago I began doing my own developing and scanning.

I try to integrate analog photography into my work as much as possible. It brings an aspect of nostalgia that can’t be replicated with digital. When working with film, an image is created, not merely taken, which adds an artistic and intentional aspect to the medium.

Career

For my full-time job, I’m a professional photographer and videographer at Colorado State University for the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences and the Veterinary Health System.

I’m honored to tell the stories of patients, veterinarians, and researchers. Visit my professional portfolio to view my work, or follow along on social: CVMBS, VHS
